The state of social media travelers

Social media has become the epicenter of travel as more and more people are connecting through their smartphones and tablets. However, social media in retrospect is used quite differently around the world. And with travelers flying internationally, we take a look at how social media is used, the percentage of travelers who use social networks, and the types of travel-related social media activities.
Even though the vast majority of travelers that are active on social media, at least monthly, come from China (98%) followed by U.S. (82%), social is still a large outlet for travelers from the U.S. With information and analytics done by PhoCusWright’s The State of Social Media in Travel, we were able to really learn how the U.S. excels in both social media sharing and research activities.
